Want to try out Umbra 3 ?
Umbra 3 is an occlusion culling middleware that is useful for videogames and applications that feature real-time 3D graphics which have the right properties for occlusion culling.
Umbra 3 is available for:
- PC
- PlayStation 3
- Xbox 360
- iOS
- Other (future) platforms on request
How to get access to the Umbra 3 evaluation version?
1. Submit your information via the Evaluation form and let us know which platform you want to try out Umbra 3 on. The process is not automated; we will contact you when we have your information.
2. Once we have your information, we will email you with an download link to the Umbra 3 binaries for the platform of your choice and send you an evaluation key. The evaluation package includes documentation, example code and test files.
3. The evaluation period lasts for 30 days. During this period, you have full access to our customer support to help you get up and running as fast as possible.

Before you get started: the basics
- The Umbra 3 occlusion culling system has two components: A pre-process tool, The Optimizer which integrates into your world/game editing tool and creates the visibility data. The Runtime component is used at runtime to perform occlusion culling based on the visibility data created during the pre-process
